Hard to keep up.

This past month has been insanely busy. Two kids to chase after, and I have to say so far in my experience girls are way more demanding then boys. Our little princess loves to have all eyes on her at all times, and she loves to smile and coo at us. Our son absolutely adores her as well. We went through a small bout of RSV. My son had it the worst and had stopped eating and drinking. He almost had to be put on the IV. For those of you who don't know what RSV is, its Respiratory Syncitial Virus, and there is nothing they can do but make sure the kids are ok and wait it ou. They ended up having to give both our kids the combi-vent to strengthen their lungs, and my son had to use a puffer for a couple weeks. I tell ya three days in the hospital with two kids is extremely exhausting. I'm just so glad they are ok. Our princess still has her cough and the doctor says it can last another month or so. Thought I would pop in and update while I had a chance. Though how often I will be able to update will vary considering I am looking into going back to work soon. As soon as I get a new printer I will print off some resumes and start applying for a job. Heres to an even busier life. =D

Back to the writing board!

So it has been a while and a lot has happened. Our daughter is now 6 weeks old, our son is 18 months old. Just gotta run some errands then it will be time to do a lot of updating on here. Have family photos this afternoon. Very excited! :)

Here we go...

So its Christmas Eve, I got the goose and the ham on the go, after typing this out I will start peeling potatoes, and I finished making the buns this morning. Hubby's heading out to the store to buy some milk. I am so excited for dinner tonight, and having some close friends over as well. But most of all I am excited to watch our son open his presents tomorrow morning! =D One more sleep! We decided to do our Christmas dinner on the eve so that we have lots of time to relax and enjoy each other as a family tomorrow. Hopefully we will get lots of rest in the coming week as well because our little girls due date is coming up in the next couple weeks as well. Busy busy! I still haven't got my hospital/ labour bag packed. Not too mention I have to finish reorganizing our bedroom to accommodate the bassinet for baby. So much to do with so little time left. Here's to hoping she doesn't decide to come too early. I keep thinking how ironic it would be to go into labour while trying to cook Christmas dinner, lol. But I am sure I can make it to New Years. :) New Years baby would be nice.

The Countdown Is On!!!!

So there is only six more sleeps until Christmas morning, and I am excited to see my sons face light up when he finally gets to tear into the presents under the tree. :) He has been wanting them for a couple weeks now.
I am thinking I will maybe do our family Christmas dinner on the eve so that I will have less work to do on Christmas day. I am very excited because this is the first Christmas that I will be cooking and here is a glimpse of what I have planned:

To deal with or avoid...

So lately I have been faced with the dilemma of whether or not to allow my mother in law to see my son. While my son and I were away visiting my parents, hubby decided to to spend the night at his mothers and play video games with his youngest brother. His mother, being already inebriated decided to take him to the bar with her where they both consumed way too much alcohol. It got to the point where he was dumping drinks on the floor when she wasn't looking because she didn't want to stop drinking. Hubby trying to be a responsible person and also trying to protect his mother tried to get her to go home to her own bed, rather than with some random stranger, which she proceeded to get angry and tried to run out onto the highway. He tried to get her to listen and she hit him so he called the cops and she was put in the DT overnight. She is now going around trying to tell everyone that he was hitting her, and yes her arms are bruised from him grabbing her arms to keep her off the road, but hubby is not a violent person and would never hit a women no matter the reason. This closely resembles the last time she got wasted and freaked out and blamed it on hubby and hubby's brother for her own flaws, which was a month before my son was born. It seems to be a recurring problem for her to get drunk and spaz out and blame it on her children. I know she has never drank around my son, but if she can't take responsibility for her actions and blames everything on her own son I don't think I want her around my son all that much because I don't want him learning that attitude. Does anyone have any insight as to what I could do? My son loves her so much but I don't want him to be like that when he is older.

Home sweet home!

So I arrived home yesterday after a week long trip to visit my family and some friends. It was a wonderful trip and a lot of fun. My son really enjoyed seeing his cousins who are 7 and 9. He loves playing with older children. He also really enjoyed playing with my parents dogs. Though the 7 week old puppy kept chewing on him and he didn't like that so much. I was very happy to visit some very wonderful friends of mine and their children. They have a 4 year old son and 1 month old twins, (a girl and a boy). So precious. My son did not like me holding the little ones. It makes me wonder how jealous he will be once his little sister is born. I can't believe its already been 8 months and she will be born within another 5 weeks. Amazing how much time just flies when you have kidlets to chase after.

Travelling.

Well Today I am waiting on my parents to come pick me up to go back to there house for a week. They live about four hours away in a small town called 100 Mile House. Not much there but it does have some pretty wonderful friends there that I miss and love. I am really excited as I haven't been there in a long while, and I hear they have so much more snow there than we do here in good old Salmon Arm. At the same time I am sad because I know that me and monkey will both miss hubby/daddy very very much. I am extremely excited to be able to go somewhere there is people who can help me out with chasing my little monkey around as it is getting much harder for me to do being as I only have 6 weeks left til my due date and my hip is totally screwed. Yesterday after playing with monkey in the snow for 20 minutes, then walking to the bank and back, my hip was so sore that when I sat down I could not move for over an hour. =/ Makes it very hard to discipline a one year old for pulling the Ziploc baggies out of the cupboard and the decorations off the Christmas tree. Oh well, good thing he is super cute because I can never stay mad at him, and plus he is starting to listen very well when I tell him not to do something because it isn't nice. I have finished most my packing for the trip as we will be up there for a week. I am hoping to be able to visit a few of the wonderful people I haven't seen in forever.
